Food For Thought Dinner

We (I) had a great time cooking for the Food For Thought crew this past Sunday night. The venue was a beautiful home overlooking Choctawhatchee Bay. For the 20 or so people attending we served a Curried Acorn Squash and Baby Spinach, Kale Salad with Peanut Dressing, and Veggie Thai Wraps with Mango Chili Dipping Sauce inspired by Cafe Organic in Ft. Walton Beach.

Order up!

We'll be cooking up a bunch of Curried Squash with Basmati Rice, Thai Veggie Spring Rolls, and Kale Salad for a private dinner on Sunday. If any of this sounds good we can keep the cooker going and make more available for everyone this week. It's not on the menu so just email us. Also in the pipeline, we'll also be hand crafting several batches of Veggie "No-Kill" Lasagna for the Yoginis graduating next weekend. Just let us know how much you want (order online) and we'll get it ready.

Cooler temps. What happened to August?

What goes well with this Fall weather? How about our Campfire Veggie Chili? Slow cooked over a hardwood charcoal fire this is not your avreage front-of-the-wifebeater adorning chili! Ours is made with Zucchini, Butternut Squash, and Swiss Chard. Served with a helping of Quinoa Tabouleh and a couple of Cornbread Waffles...let's call it a comfy $15.

Ok, I'm working on a few things.

We spent the last few days at an unbelievably beautiful place in Tennessee called Gray Bear Lodge. Seriously, it was like some sort of dream. The people there are able to connect on a level I have never experienced before. We were fed three meals a day, and yoga'ed twice a day. Not to mention massage, Reiki, Watsu, hot tub and sauna. It was difficult to leave. It's a good thing we live where we do. Our little corner of the beach is always easy to come back to. Anyway, I'm trying to process everything and communicate it all through a new round of food.

Stay connected!
